Pub crawls blow, says Ellen

Name: Ellen Fobes
Age: 24
Where you’re from: That’s a tough one…San Francisco, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Chicago, New Orleans, Boston, Philadelphia.
Where you live: West Village, NYC
Company you work for: ALISON BROD PUBLIC RELATIONS
Brands repped: Presently, Lucid Absinthe, Jose Cuervo Platino, Godiva Liqueur, Godiva Chocolatier, ONE Group (STK New York, STK LA, ONE Little West 12, ONE Sunset). Formerly, Champagne Piper-Heidsieck, P.I.N.K. Vodka, Tenjune & Kiss & Fly (ONE Group), Garden of ONO in Hotel Gansevoort
Favorite bar: I’ve got three. I hope that’s okay. 1) Arthur’s Tavern in NYC – best live (and free) house funk band every Thurs/Friday/Saturday. 2) MECCA on Bleecker in the West Village – very good scene and relatively unknown (well until now I suppose). 3) Miss Mae’s The Club in New Orleans – open 24 hours a day and drinks are $1…pretty self-explanatory.
Favorite drink: Makers Mark with a splash of ginger ale
Number of those drinks before you start dialing exes: Four-ish
Pub crawls…”let’s do it!” or “screw it” and why? Umm “screw it.” Too much planning. I prefer to adhere to a less structured “laissez les bons temps rouler” ideology.
Ever chug an entire beer and then belch loudly? If so, will you marry me? Pleading the fifth…for both questions.
People tell me I look like…a friend they used to go to school with. It happens to me daily.
Mimosas or Bloody Marys? Why? Mimosas, because they’re much harder to screw up (hopefully) if you have fresh OJ and good champagne. But I love the Bloody Marys from Igor’s on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. There’s no better place to watch a Mardi Gras parade at 9am or 9pm (they’re also open 24 hours a day – clearly a common theme in NOLA)
Parting shot: Chilled shot of blanco tequila (preferably Jose Cuervo Platino, of course) with a lime – no salt.
