Your Imbiber signed books at the legendary Sunset Strip lit-stop Book Soup on Nov. 6th. It was a fabulous evening in which all four copies in stock sold out! From there it was off to NYC for another signing on Nov. 13th at Aspen. No, Aspen the bar, NOT the city ... I already told you it was in New York. Pay attention, for chrissakes! Okay then, some pictures:

BriGirls
My brother Brian after the LA signing with three gorgeous ladies he has absolutely no chance of ever hooking up with. (Okay, maybe he has a small chance with the one on the left, but that's only because she feels sorry for him ... you know, being related to me and all.)

signing
"To my dear friends Brad and Angelina ... so sorry I couldn't accompany you on that trip to Bono's place in the South of France. I got tied up hitting on the girls in the picture above this one. Oh, and I like this shirt I'm wearing sooooo much that I think I'll wear it to my signing in NYC next week, too. Love- Dan"

Anita n Curtis
My main man Curtis Robinson and the lovely and talented Anita Thompson in the Gonzo Room at Aspen after the NYC signing.

Wallman
My book editor, Keith Wallman. I love him. If he needed a backrub, I would give him one. That's how much I love him.

JLaPeter
Superscribe Jay Cheshes, political fashionista La-Toria Haven, and "The Reluctant Metrosexual" author Peter Hyman spent most of the evening talking shit behind my back. It's okay, though. Everyone was doing it.

Family
We ain't nothing without family!

BobBeauty
One of my oldest friends (he's, like, 70 or something) Bob LaBrum drove up from Philly... for a manicure. Skipped the signing altogether. Asshole!

SavannaSis
I dropped by my friend Savanna's apartment for a titillating evening.

Here's what people are saying about the author and his new tome...

Welcome to the weird and wacky world of Dan Dunn. He now lays claim to being one of the funniest and most cunning rascals in the dirty trenches of journalism. This is the first of many wonderful books to come.”
—Douglas Brinkley, author of
The Great Deluge

Dan Dunn is a fanatical party monster who is a danger to himself and anyone who crosses his path. The funny thing is—and I do mean funny—he’s lived to write about it. If I don’t get to direct the movie version of Nobody Likes a Quitter, I’m firing my agent."
—Danny Leiner, director of
Dude, Where’s My Car? and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle

Dan Dunn’s writing has always been droll and dripping with inebriated humor from his well-lubricated editorials in the Aspen, Colorado, daily papers to his sloshed blogs on the Internet. I first met him passed out on the floor, at the feet of my former neighbor, the late Hunter S. Thompson, and have been waiting for him to sober up enough to finish this damn book ever since!”
—John Oates of the rock duo Hall & Oates

Every time I read the literary genius that is Dan Dunn, I’m floored. But then I pick myself up off the floor, crawl back up on my barstool, and crack open another box of wine. He makes me feel so smart.”
—Mark Steines, host of
Entertainment Tonight

As a health and nutrition writer, I have failed at many attempts to explain how Dan Dunn is still alive. Imbiber is too kind of a description for Dan. The man has drunk from a fire hose and has distilled ambrosia from this so that we ourselves might civilly imbibe. To steal a phrase from Fleetwood Mac, Dan Dunn makes lovin’ fun.”
—Christopher Wanjek, author of
Food at Work and Bad Medicine

Dan is both knowledgeable and self deprecating. His stories about the things that alcohol makes one do are so wickedly raw and funny it may have you reconsider drinking alcohol altogether.”
—Dominique Paul, author of
The Possibility of Fireflies

Book Bash in Bev Hills

Crustacean restaurant hosted a book release party for yours truly on October 30th. It truly was a memorable night, although I somehow seem to have forgotten most of it! Here's some visual evidence...

Radio Dazed
With Jokeman
I've been making the rounds on radio to promote the new book. Among the esteemed programs generous/silly enough to have me on are Jackie's Joke Hunt with my pal Jackie Martling, "The Tasting Room" with Tom Leykis, and the "Stretch" Roberts Show on Maxim Radio. I also made an appearance on the syndicated Mancow Show, only to discover that dude is the biggest asshole working in radio today.
