One Hot Minute in San Diego
The
Imbiber and a few good friends recently held an adult
beverage research summit in a luxury suite at the
Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. For some reason, most
likely intoxication, I didn't go to the video camera
very often. But I managed to capture a few shots of
some pretty people drinking wine and, well, just
plain being silly. Here it is...
The Imbiber is a really big admirer of celebrity chef Todd English. But not in that way. We're friends, that's all. Friends who dig women and sports and muscle cars... you know, hetero stuff. So, boy, was I ever annoyed with my so-called friends last weekend at the Mohegan Sun Wine and Food Festival about their incessant teasing. Allow me to go on record: I DO NOT HAVE A SECRET MAN-CRUSH ON TODD ENGLISH! Nor have I ever had a man-crush on any man, with the possible exception of Jason Bateman. I just think Todd is a great chef and a really cool guy to be around. And that's it!!! Well, and he does have nice eyes, too, but that is purely an aesthetic observation.
Anyhow, thanks to my so-called friend Curtis for passing along this video footage of me and Todd at Mohegan Sun. I've not had a chance to watch it, but Curtis tells me it's a revelation... whatever that means. Hope you enjoy it.
