| Their habitats are different, but both the French 76 and Margarita are potent and festive drinks -- so why has the Group A party been such a drag so far? Somebody been watering down the fuel? It could be that the two most interesting guests -- Thierry Henry and Cuauhtemoc Blanco -- can't get in the door. It could be that the teams are looking ahead to the glamor of the knockout stage and having trouble focusing on the task at hand. Whatever the case, with Uruguay sitting atop the group with four points, these two very talented teams shouldn't lack for motivation. The pressure is on Mexico more than France; after this game, France gets South Africa, while Mexico must face tough Uruguay. A draw here means advantage: France. Of course, it'd be nice if somebody would actually win... |
